Manzano Bigtooth Maple
The Manzano Bigtooth Maple is a globe-shaped native tree that can compliment a variety of home landscapes. This cultivar of the Bigtooth Maple has similar attributes to the parent species, having 3-5 lobed leaves, furrowed gray bark, and a tolerance to a variety of soil types and does well in alkaline soils. This tree also has an outstanding fall color, its foliage turning a vibrant red-to-yellow. A small- to medium-sized tree, the cultivar differs in its more rounded growing habits. Its average texture will not necessarily pop out of a landscape, but it can be complimented well by other trees or shrubs. It does well in both partial and full sun.
