Tilia tomentosa 'Sterling Silver'

The Sterling Silver is a selection of Silver Linden.  Similar to the American Linden in growth habits the main difference is the bark is lighter and looks silvery as well as the underside of the leaves.  This linden is the last to bloom in mid summer and the small flowers are very fragrant.  The Sterling Silver Linden will grow to a height of 50 to 70 feet tall and 25 to 45 feet wide.  Has a rounded pyramidal shape with uniform branching structure. Tolerates heat and drought. Hardy to USDA Zone 4.
